New Pediatric Patients

OakLeaf Pediatrics is always happy to welcome new patients into our practice. We know that choosing your child's pediatrician is an important decision, so that's why we strive to make sure you are satisfied with the care your child receives.

Expecting Parents

We encouarge all expecting parents to schedule a meet and greet with one of our providers. This allows you to get to know us and ask questions you have. It also lets us get to know you so that when your baby does arrive, we can provide personalized care for your baby and your family.

What to bring to your first visit

As soon as you walk through our front doors, you'll be greeted by the smiling faces of our staff. They work hard to make sure your child receives prompt medical care in a comfortable, family friendly environment. To help expedite your first appointment with us, we ask that you please bring the following items:

  • Your child's immunization record
  • A list of current medications
  • Insurance information

What to expect at your first visit

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early for your first appointment to allow us time to process your child's information and allow your family time to get acquainted with our office and staff.

Once you are checked in, you and your child will be brought back to an examination room where the nurse will take your child's vital signs and measure their height and weight. Then you'll see the provider who will obtain a detailed history and physical examination in order to decide the best plan of care for your child. We make sure you have an adequate amount of time to ask questions or voice concerns. Then, during your checkout process, you'll receive a detailed summary of your visit including health recommendations, education and a medication list.

Your connection to OakLeaf Pediatrics doesn't end when you walk out the door. You'll have the comfort of knowing that you'll be able to speak with one of our skilled providers if you have urgent after hours questions. We encourage you to call our office during regular hours and speak with a nurse or provider regarding any routine or urgent questions or concerns that you might have.
